This booklet collects the columns that urban planner Maarten Van Acker (UAntwerpen) wrote for Gazet Van Antwerpen in the course of 2019 and 2020. The reason for the columns is the major transformation of Antwerp in terms of mobility, including the Oosterweel connection, the covering of the Ring road and the reconstruction of the Scheldt quays. In an accessible way, Professor Van Acker pushes forward innovative international insights on mobility and the experience of the city. During this period, the Covid pandemic would also radically change the look and thinking of the city.
